Name: Irene Nell
City: Cape Town
Hobbies: I have a passion for Tigers and spend a lot of time in Oudtshoorn with them, traveling, gym, watching movies, recently started playing golf – really liking it, going out and having a good time with friends.
Likes: Rugby, cricket, golf, extreme sports, tigers, wildlife, thunderstorms, eating out, speed, soft luxurious carpets, wireless things, cocktails, cherries, milk, ice cream, the smell of new tennis balls.
Dislikes: Animal cruelty, poor service, Bryce Lawrence, avocado, traffic, McDonalds, country music, arrogant people, dirty places, the feeling of a fresh newspaper on my fingers, the fact that the human giraffe ALWAYS sits in front of me in the movies!
TheBounce: Which sports teams do you support?
Irene: Sharks, Bokke, Proteas, Warriors.
TheBounce: If you were booked to do a photo shoot with any sportsman in the world, who would it be and why?
Irene: Pierre Spies, Richie McCaw , Frédéric Michalak or Tom Brady all very attractive and rugged, manly men
TheBounce: We get a lot of rugby and cricket dished up to us here in SA, is there a sport out there that you would love to see more of, or maybe a sporting activity of sorts that should get more airtime?
Irene: Well I like adventurous stuff so anything extreme like white water rafting, cliff diving, ice climbing, expedition mountaineering, snow boarding.
TheBounce: Hypothetically speaking, if a guy ever had intentions of taking you on a first date where a live sporting event was the theme – where should he not take you?
Irene: Nascar (even Hannah Montana is better to watch than watching people drive in circles.) Darts, its not even a sport.. you throw stuff at a board.. woah! real amazing. Chess, Tennis, Bowls and anything slow.
TheBounce: What sport in your opinion generally dishes up the most talent on the guy front?
Irene: Rugby, Soccer, Swimming & Gymnastics.
TheBounce: If you were able to create your ultimate sporting rockstar moment/day, what would it be?
Irene: Ooh I would love to do a Road Trip with the Sharks Team. First off I’d attend a Sharks training session at the Tank, then the next day we hit the road to Oudtshoorn to meet my tigers, then maybe some Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai followed by Skydiving on the West Coast and then some Wine Tasting in Franschhoek…and then a nice sunset cruise around the Peninsula. Hmmm that would be awesome!
