#UTEforce strikes again – St Reginalds Primary

For the last few months the Chevrolet UTEforce team have been going around the country uplifting various communities and schools by providing sporting goods and amenities. The latest location to benefit from this was St Reginalds Primary School in Kirkwood.

It wasn’t just a fleet of all-new Chevrolet Utility vehicles that arrived at the school though, the Chevrolet Warriors cricket team was also on hand to make this an extra special day for the young learners.

Previous UTEforce projects have seen the team plant vegetable gardens at a school in Soweto to building a cricket facility in New Brighton near Port Elizabeth. With each trip (5 so far in the first half of the year) the dedicated Chevrolet ambassadors have been quietly making a difference in the lives of people in South Africa.

In coming up with the UTEforce initiative the idea was to show the capabilities of the Chevrolet Utility vehicle, the real outcome though has been that of doing good, and this was something that the Warriors players certainly wanted to be a part of.

Captain of the Chevrolet Warriors, Davy Jacobs, had this to say on the initiative, “It is fantastic for us as players to be involved with our sponsors and a programme like this. It’s also great because the children can’t necessarily come and see us on the field, but it is nice for us to come and see them at the school and be part of their day.”
