SA Swimsuit 2013 – Blog Star Contestants for the week. 29 April.

Into our fourth week of participation in the SA Swimsuit 2013 model search. Our role is to showcase the hopeful contestants that most catch our eye, then from our selected three each week, you then get to vote for your favourite with the winner being awarded the Blog Star.

In order to progress into the finals of the competition, the girls need to get as many votes and stars as possible on their profiles.

So without any further explanations needed, let’s see this week’s Blog Star hopefuls.

Last week the great Sachin Tendulkar turned 40. But unlike fellow greats that reached this age who are now mouthing off in commentary boxes or looking for lucrative hair replacement deals, the Little Master is still playing cricket.

Much has been made about his retirement over the past few years. Nobody wants to see a great struggle in the twilight of their careers, but this doesn’t seem to be phasing Sachin as he keeps plodding along.

But seriously, he needs to retire now, and in recognition of his landmark age, we have compiled 40 reason why he should do it now.

Last year saw the start of the incredibly popular Bounce vs Hazard series. Ben Karpinski, proud editor here of TheBounce, challenged sporting super celeb and golf trouser baron Dan Nicholl to this encounter, and to date they have had 6 titanic matches. The matches involve each of them bringing a partner to the caldron of competition, whereby a betterball matchplay game breaks out. Going into this latest match, Nicholl and guests led 3 1/2 to 2 1/2, but who would come out on top at the home of the Joburg Open – Royal Johannesburg East Course.

11 weeks! And to think we aren’t even half way. Yup, nobody said it was going to be easy this here tournament, but at least the action still keeps coming each week.

There is a concern however that teams are really starting to feel the stresses and strains of the tournament. First choice teams are starting to become absolute luxuries, and the squad depths are being severely tested.

Title number 20 for the Red Devils. Quite an amazing feat from the most prolific English Premiership side of all time. So dominant they have been in the modern era, that this is their 13th title in 21 years, wow, that is just incredible. But what everyone is talking about is this magical goal from Robin Van Persie.

The ex-Gunner scored 24 goals for his new club this year. Talk about earning your winner’s medal! I’m sure the Arsenal fans will give him a warm reception at the Emirates very soon…
